There are now over 100 members
of the society many of whom live in the Parish of Shirenewton
and its environs.
Joining the society is easy.
The annual fee (from £5.00 with family and pensioner
concessions) is payable to the membership secretary
by cash, cheque or standing order with the completed
joining form. As a registered charity, tax payers are
asked to tick the box if they agree to the society reclaiming
tax for the society funds, on their behalf.
Personal data provided will be
held on an electronic file for the convenience of the
membership secretary and for individual communication
within the society. This information will not be passed
on to any other external person, organisation or business.
Membership entitles you to attend
the meetings with a speaker, join in the afternoon resource
sessions with access to the archives, borrow some items
from the resources and join the visits to interesting
churches, historical gardens, buildings, pre-history
sites. etc. Paid up members may vote at the AGM and
become committee members.
Visitors are always welcome,
a donation at the meeting would be appreciated.
All age groups are catered for
and if there is a visit where transport is necessary,
those without transport can usually be accommodated
by sharing with other members. Please ask in plenty
of time.
The membership secretary can
be contacted at meetings - just turn up, or via
contact us on the menu.
