six nations kick-off 2011

Update on 6th March 2011: Just under 60 people packed into the Church Room on Thursday 3rd February to enjoy the six nations kick off. David Watkins gave an excellent talk followed by a lively Q&A.

The event itself raised £730 and with matched funding from Barclays (up to £700) a total of £1,430 was raised. Thursday 3rd February 2011 in the Church Room

Many thanks to all.

Speaker: David Watkins MBE

David Watkins is a Welsh former dual-code rugby international, having played both rugby union and rugby league football between 1967 and 1983. He is the only player to have captained both the British and Irish Lions rugby union side and the Great Britain rugby league teams (see the rest of his profile on Wikipedia). David will share his thoughts on the forthcoming six nations matches and make (dangerous?) predictions.

This evening will be a great way to kick off the six nations tournament among village friends and will include ‘six nations’ centric activities.  It is sure to be a fun filled evening.
