a celtic saint in shirenewton church room

Alan Saysell has carved a Celtic Saint which is to be unveiled and dedicated in the Church Room on Friday 5 March.  A blue plaque commemorating the building of the Room and a Scout plaque commemorating 100 years of Scouting are to be dedicated at the same time.

A service of dedication, led by our vicar, Rev Ingle-Gillis will begin at 7 o’clock in church. Following the dedication service, at approximately a quarter to eight, there will be an opportunity to view the carved saint and partake of a glass of wine, a bowl of leek and potato soup and some home-baked Welsh cakes.

You are warmly invited to either or both events.
