village fete 12 June 2010The sun shone, the carnival proceeded, the crowds flocked, the band played, the dancers danced, cakes were purchased, beer was consumed, Pimms was sipped and, once again, a good time was had by all.
Noelyn Prout summarised it well in the Parish Magazine: "Financially it was a hugely successful day and we broke the record AGAIN by raising £6,459 for church funds. AND we all had a great time!!! We are all thrilled to bits to have raised so much money but, equally, or even more importantly, love the fact that so many kids (and grownups) enjoyed a great fun, traditional village fete in the sunshine."
