Following
the success of the Golf Day 2004 (click
here for details),
the 2nd annual Shirenewton
Church Golf Classic was played on the Championship course
at St. Pierre Wednesday 7th September 2005.
Once again the weather was kind and the golf balls
flew - in all directions. The day started with Brunch
and registration which was followed by 18 holes on the
Championship Course. The event was rounded off with
evening meal with prize giving, a raffle and auction.
The gathering was international with teams from as
far a field as Ireland. The event was a wonderful success
raising about £7,500 for the church extension fund.
Our thanks go to all the teams who entered, the sponsors
and a special thanks to St Pierre for their generosity
and support.
