Day 1 was Thursday 27th July. A beautiful hot day! We assembled at Rob's house to be driven to Prestatyn at 8:00am.Leaving Shirenewton at about 8:15am we arrived at Prestatyn around 11:40am, getting on the road about midday. A 25 munite lunch break at 1:30pm (after 16.5 miles climbing out of Prestatyn) got us to the top of the Horseshoe Pass at about 15:40 having cycled 29.3 miles. We finally arrived at the Hand Hotel in Chirk at 5:15pm having cycled about 43 miles.
