	Hello. I'm part of a team setting off on a sponsored climb of Kilimanjaro. We leave the UK on 4th July and, hopefully, reach the summit in the early hours of Sunday 11th July.   Kilimanjaro is a real challenge. It's the largest highest free-standing mountain in the World with Uhuru Peak being 5,895 metres (19,341 feet) - this is  515 meters (1,640ft) higher than Everest Base Camp.
	We are raising money for my local church and other charities. I'd appreciate any donation.

Please note that all climbers are paying their own expenses so that all sponsorship money goes directly to the Charities and that all sponsorship is for the 'attempt'. We will not accept sponsorship conditional on reaching the summit as this may encourage climbers to 'push on' and ignore the effects of altitude sickness which can be fatal.
