kilimanjaro charities

The Shirenewton Mountains of Adventure walks/climbs (comprising the Kilimanjaro challenge and Sunrise on Pen-y-Fan) are support a number of charities.

Shirenewton Church will be the primary charity being supported (you can read the extension story here) but we also intend to support a couple of local Tanzanian charities and an Irish charity to reflect the make up of the team and the location of the walk. These are detailed below:

Kibaoni Primary School text books

Kibaoni Primary School is a local school nestling in the foothills of Kilimanjaro. The school has been entirely built on the basis of charitable donations and we are aiming to supply text books.

On the 14th July four representatives of the Shirenewton Charity Challenge visited Kibaoni Primary School to hand over various pens and other stuff brought from the UK and to understand where a donation may be best used. The visit to the school
