kilimanjaro - 5th july - acclimatisation

This day was billed as comprising a safety briefing, kit check and then an "acclimatisation hike to 1,900m (6,233ft) on Mount Meru". The safety briefing and kit check having been compeleted, the 'acclimatisation hike' turned out to be more of a lunch followed by a gentle stroll in the vague vicinity of Mount Meru!
